Resolved Forest service just came through and cut me out! Safe.

thanks! I was embarrassed cause I didn’t carry my saw…. But it turns out talking to the forest service guys that cut me out it took a 4 man cutting crew and a dozer most of the day to get through so even with a saw there’s now way I would have gotten out. I’m running solo at the moment so…...

Resolved Forest service just came through and cut me out! Safe.

I’m embarrassed to even ask but while boondocking in Mark Twain National Forest last night I got trapped. Strong winds (maybe tornados) came through and knocked out some trees preventing me from getting out. I’m not in any kind of danger and am well equipped but without chainsaws and straps to...

US Midwest Backroads & Bourbon Run

Hey Scott, (or anyone else who cares to chime in) I’ve got a buddy that’s headed to KY soon. He was asking what to expect to see for sale at Buffalo Trace. I told him my guess would be BT or Weller SR only, you all didn’t see anything else while you were there did you? Blantons or Antique 107...

US Midwest Backroads & Bourbon Run

I’ll give this thread a quick bump, mostly because I’d LOVE to see what you all were able to score while visiting KY. We hated missing the trip this year but sometimes things happen for a reason. That said I picked up these two bottles this past Wed. No I didn’t pay “retail” BUT I also...

US Midwest Backroads & Bourbon Run

So unfortunately I’ve got to bail on the trip this year. Super bummed but it’s just not going to work out. Hope you all have an AMAZING time and with any luck I’ll see you all in 2023!

Ok, I’ll play…. I’ll bring a fresh bottle of John J. Bowman. Absolutely one of my favorite pours to date. My picture isn’t nearly as cool as Scott’s but I did my best!

US East CNY / WNY / Finger Lakes Coffee & Rigs - December 12/11

Silly question…. Is this Dec 11th (Saturday) or December 12th (Sunday). We’d actually like to attend since we’re around ATM. Adventure Truck is tucked in the garage away from NYS Salt, but if you think this is doable with a Rav4 Adventure on Falken Wildpeaks we may come down depending on...

    US Midwest Backroads & Bourbon

Trip organizer has been quiet as of late. Likely busy with life, we booked our own tours and campsites. I do think the trip is and has been full for at least a month. Not sure if they’re taking more or not. Looking forward to this regardless.

Booked the tour for 4 at Wild Turkey @ 4, 2 was all sold out but I think that’ll be just fine. Nothing else was available yet though we will keep monitoring as the date gets closer. Thanks for setting this up, really looking forward to it.

Portable Toilets? Why's and Why Nots!

Some will seriously scoff at this but we have a Wrappon Green portable toilet. Originally designed for Crane Operators and disasters but it’s a “flushable” toilet that completely seals the waste and allows it to be disposed of with normal trash. Yes I know it’s sealing your waste in Plastic, the...

Anyone on here, order or receive a Go Fast Camper?

Thanks for the Reply, I started out this thread when GFC was just a concept. I pre-ordered mine 11 months ago now. I’ve had it since Sept. and yes. It’s freaking awesome! I’ll admit though it’s on my Tacoma which I only use for camping so losing the bed is no biggie. I have really enjoyed mine...

Anyone on here, order or receive a Go Fast Camper?

Hey Yeti, There doesn’t seem to be too many GFC owners here on OB. That said there are a few of us. I’ve had mine now since early Sept, and I’m truth i have been 100% satisfied with it. The fully operable sides are one of my favorite things about it. There is a ton of discussion about water...

Anyone on here, order or receive a Go Fast Camper?

Interesting. Maybe because the bottom panels in mine are removable? Therefore they have a composite panel taking up space? I believe there are only 10 tents that’s got “pre sold” so not many people to ask. I have a direct line to the owners, and they frequent a different forum. I’ll ask over...

Anyone on here, order or receive a Go Fast Camper?

Ok, let’s see if I can answer some or all of your questions. First off the tent portion (I have the complete GFC) is absolutely bombproof and incredibly well made. It’s by far the highest quality piece of gear I’ve ever seen for this purpose. Secondly the mattress is incredibly comfortable...
