    JKU sleeping/storage platform

I use the air mattress from https://www.deepsleep4jeeps.com Make sure you cover up the gap and rear seat hinges and you’ll be good to go.

    Jeep Badge of Honor

Everything is based off of the Rubicon trail near Tahoe. That’s the benchmark...10. Though it’s been tamed from what I’ve read. My Jeep is pretty well built, so the GM trail wasn’t too crazy and it’s a 6-9 rating which is vague at best. My buddy made it easily in a stock Rubicon. Hit me up if...

    Jeep Badge of Honor

I have the Gold Mountain Badge of honor. The app is definitely light on info. It’s a SoCal trail near Big Bear in the San Bernardino mountains, which is local for me. I’m looking to catch a couple more in the next year or so...

    Noob here

The ‘Mod from there’ part covers most of your concerns. They have tons of options. If you’re looking to go big out the gate, this is not the way to go, but if you’re like me and running on a bit of a budget... starting with a $200(ish) trailer that will hold a 1000 plus pounds... Check them out...

    Noob here

Check out Dinoot trailer online. I’m looking at their M-Style trailers. Basic and budget oriented. You can start with a Harbor Freight trailer and then mod from there.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Camber correcting shims yesterday with an obligatory tire rotation... And after a quick stop at Tuff Stuff... I hung this thing off the Yakima rack

    Southern California Folks

I like the idea. With kids in soccer almost all year, Saturday’s are nearly impossible for me. Maybe change it up a bit and use the lot at the recently closed Orchard on a Wednesday night when they have the food trucks?? I’m in Bellflower over by Artesia and Palo Verde...(just a couple...

Jeep Sleeping Platform - Over Seats

I have an air mattress from a recently started company called DeepSleep4Jeeps... nice thick air mattress that fits in perfectly. Just slide the front seats forward, fold the back seats and cover anything that may poke a hole and sleep on air all night. Check ‘em out:)

    SoCal Overlanders Roll Call :)

Lakewood/Bellfower/Cerritos area here. Trying to make one of these local meet ups... chasing sports playing kids on weekends makes it tough.

Road Shower 2 Five-Gallon Pressurized Solar Shower Review

Taking a shower on the winter... that sounds cold regardless of the water heating up. I would assume that the black tank placed in the sun would heat up regardless of season. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    Mystery Lift!

Talt2008 has a great idea. Just keep in mind that you will need to compensate for the difference in tire size also. My 35’s are about 3” taller than Talt2008’s 255/75/17s, but that’s not a 3” lift... just bigger tires. And Talt2008... please send that snow down to Southern California...

    Mystery Lift!

You’re sitting about the same height as I am... 3.5” lift with 35s on 17s. I’m about 24” to the top of the same style running board at the front passenger side. Good choice on ditching the mall crawler rims since you can’t air down for traction and protect the rims at the same time. Sent...

Gas can mounts for 2017 Jeep jku

Probably the hardest part to make was the plate that the bolt in the center threads into... drilling out the lug pattern was a little frustrating. The only upgrade I would suggest is maybe thicker (not read bigger) tube steel and cross bracing where the bolt hole is. This version is light...

    Jeep Owners Represent!

Here's my rig in the process of getting some new fenders... That was a while ago, and since then, there has been a few mods to the stereo and CB. Next steps are upgraded oil cooler and radiator;)

Gas can mounts for 2017 Jeep jku

looked at quite a few options and decided on making my own. A little welding prowess and you have something that works for your application; see pic. I am looking at the Rebel Offroad Black-out set-up for only the drivers side. It will likely be the First Aid or recovery kit when I do get...

Using Older GPS for iPad Navigation

^^x2 I bought a non-cellular iPad mini and have it mounted via RAM mount to the dash. The Dual is mounted above and passenger side of the rear view... I had to get power up there for USB to charge it, but it all works like a champ! Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk
