What is your favorite overlanding movie, video, book, story, or inspiration?

A fantastic Overlanding book is Road Fever by Tim Cahill. It documents his travel from Tierra del Fuego to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. His writing style is quite comical and very informative and the trip is one I’d love to attempt sometime.

    Air down kit?

In general I totally agree with this; however, I initially bought a different brand of inflators and they were absolute crap. Now I may have just picked up an bum set, but I have had zero issues with the Staun's.

    Air down kit?

I have driven with my Staun's on quite a few times. Never on the trail, but often times when meeting somewhere close to the trailhead then take them back off once I hit the trail and I'm ready to go. Definitely don't want to get on the trail with them still on and you wouldn't want to go more...

    Tire inflator/deflator

I used to run some trails in Colorado. We would meet up in a parking lot about 10 minutes from the trailhead. I'd screw all four on the valve stems, hop in the Jeep and head for the trail. At the trailhead I'd stop and remove the stauns and I was ready to roll.

    Any Hunters Among Us?

Used to hunt all the time and not nearly as often as I'd like nowadays. Got real into night time hunting for hogs and coyotes. Just after getting really adept with the thermals and night vision I lost access to a truly amazing place to hunt and enjoy the outdoor due to divorce, so anyone in...

    Tire inflator/deflator

I used these as well and they are fantastic and super easy once you get them dialed in properly. One note though, when I first got started, I bought some cheap knock off (I'll refrain from naming the brand for now) ones and they were absolute crap. Either didn't let out the right amount of air...

Texas Avid Outdoors 5th Annual Fall Outdoor Expo October 12th - 14th

Damn...An hour on the forum and it's already costing me money :-) Not the event but the fact that it occurs on the same weekend as OU-TEXAS. I've been contemplating dropping cable and getting satellite and this may have just sped up the decision process so I can get the mobile dish and bring it...

Hey Everyone, Just wanted to say hi. I'm looking forward to using this forum and getting involved with the group. It's been a while since I've been on much of anything of an overland trip, but I'm ready to get back off the road. I'm located outside of Austin in the hill country in a little town...
