    Illinois Overlanders in Eminence, MO

We had a great time exploring part of the Ozarks this last weekend. Over 30 rigs, miles of trail, plenty to do and see. Beautiful part of the country!

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

We had a great time at RITO this weekend. Looked for you, took us a day to realize there are 2 airstrips. Drove around, didn't see any any blue Tacomas. Sorry we missed you, maybe next year.

That's true! If we meet up when I get there you can judge my mind then. My wife thinks I'm crazy.

    Land Rover Registry

That looks awesome! I have an '05 LR3 as well, would like to make some of those mods. Curious, did you have to re-gear the transmission to run the bigger tires?

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks 2020

Howdy OB Midwest, I'm headed to the rally this fall for my first visit to this event. I watched the video from Michael and Corey's trip, figured I'd give it a go. I created a Rally Point if anyone is interested in traveling together to the event from the Chicago area. I'll be leaving from...

US Midwest Rendezvous in the Ozarks

My wife and I are headed to the Rendezvous, first time attending this event. Leaving early morning of 16th from the Thornton's gas station just off the US Hwy 6 exit off I55 South in Channahon, IL. It's a 9 1/2 hr drive from the departure point, hoping to arrive at Byrd's by 4pm. All are...

Grand Tetons Trip - Chicago to Wyoming & Back

I have no doubt, but already booked for hunting and camping in Colorado this fall. Would not be able to make 2 trips with time off work and budget.

Grand Tetons Trip - Chicago to Wyoming & Back

I won't be able to go this fall. Possibly next year. Do you have a route planned out or have an idea how long the trip would take?

    Advice: Newbie Rig Setup (RTT/Trailer/Squaredrop??)

Welcome to overlanding! If you're new to the outdoor adventure life, you have the right plan to start out. Start locally, start with the basics. I agree with toxicity - all you need is a tent. I am married like you and my wife is not as "adventurous" as I am, so need to provide for some...

Decent trails and camping near STL/Springfield, IL

Agreed, not much in Illinois for off road travel. Some off road parks exist, which are good places to develop your off-roading skills and see what your vehicle is capable of. But they lack that sense of adventure after making a couple laps. I've tried looking to see if there are any trails or...
