Mix in a little fun time! I'm working out a route to Mount Agamenticus from my house which would include Pawtuckaway. Byway, no highway. Goes just over Rochester.
I'm out of the heat and done the upgrades for the next exploratory run. Starts tomorrow! Landing in Osceola WMNF Campground and expecting 4hrs plus of travel time. An exciting to me stop at Beede Falls (haven't been there in 40 odd yrs) on the route! Gauges mounted, Wifey's shelf done, floor...
I'm taking off again this week (planning on Tuesday am) for some more scouting. Last week I did a 3 day run heading north out of Auburn and landing in Covered Bridge WMNF Campground. This run I hope to clean up the day 1 part and land at Osceola Vista WMNF Campground, then travel north landing...
Sorry I've be out scout runs with no internet... May stock alternator is about a 110 amp (maybe a bit less). May LiPo4 is only a 60ah unit and I have now determined my usage (24hr period) to be 14-16amps. I felt I need nothing greater than a 20amp unit to replace those used amps in an hour's...
Did you track your run? If for nothing else than building routes it's well worth doing. You can edit out the parts that didn't work or notate accordingly.
Great to hear it was a good run!
I marked it as going and do believe we will be there, even on if on our way back from a run. I ran up the coastline of Maine and found that above Bar Harbor is where life gets more interesting, at least in my mind. It's still mostly tarred roads, but there's more to be explored, found, enjoyed...
I've left my solar behind, due to not staying anywhere that long.. A good DC/DC unit will service you nicely. As you grow in power needs (which you will), it will still be there for you. I have a 20amp Renogy (Renogy 20a).
Now it does kinda make me think a bit of only a 12ah battery, draw only...
Looking forward to meeting you folks. Personally, I hope to pick a spot off to an end of the lot so we can park together. I have a feeling you'll spot me.. the unit is fairly unique now with the camper attached. I'm bringing my laptop that has my files, hopefully WiFi is good there (or at least...
You probably guessed, I'm going to build to match my F150. I can get 6/5.5 (believe that's 6x139), but can't find 6x135.. Any suggestions of where to look? May end up using one of those 6/5.5 to 6/135 adapters... Anyone done this?
A little more than just an overnight. I've done some parts of it and love the backroads it puts you on. No real woods trails on this yet puts you in some nice areas of NH. I have the gpx of this if you want it.
I went Costway 70qt. Best pricing for size I could find with a compressor. So far DC testing has gone very well! Ambient temp 60°-80°, frig set at 36°, battery is a lipo 60ah, running now 48hrs and figure yet another 12 or so hours beforeI hit the 20% mark to stop at. Oh ya, 1/2 case of water in it.
Hey, you folks haven't seen the rear with the hatches/doors in place!
Slam shut latches, trimmed and sealed! Now I can close off the bottom and not worry about rain getting in! Oh blue tape is holding the magnets in place till the glue dries.
