You should wait until the Rally Point attendee message comes out early next week. One group is in camp the entire time and the other is traveling but will be in base camp Saturday. Much like the last event we had.

Would it be correct to assume that we will be base camping at the same spot for all three nights? If so I would plan to just bring the ground tent rather than the rooftop.

With my trailer lifted on the jacks without wheels, their is a lot of slop in the pipe mounts even with the locking pin installed allowing the trailer to move side to side a lot. I can imagine it will be an uneasy feeling like that moving around in the tent.

Nah, as far as I can tell, more people than ever are engaging in multi-country vehicle dependent travel. Now, trendy rooftop tent camping may be diminishing.

...Black bear are only a major problem in developed campgrounds and mountain towns where they're used to seeing a lot of people (and trash). I'm not sure if locking a grizzly away from food just makes you the next best snack, but I'd probably opt for hanging the bag in a tree away from my tent.

Sweet rig. I also like that fold over the front tent on the white truck. Softshells aren't my thing so much, but I like that arrangement.
