Toyota owners, I need your help!

800 for a set of heads is on the cheap side... just had mine done on my Bronco... it was $1600 to get them each completely rebuilt. Would have cost a little more had their been a crack. I’m still skeptical on the 16 hours.

Toyota owners, I need your help!

Why replace the radiator? It’s hold pressure, I see a whole lot of parts that aren’t 100% needed... why Fel-Pro Head gasket, intake gasket, water pump gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, when the whole set is $300.00 cheaper... 3 years warranty.... that shop (and the shops in your area) are rip...

Toyota owners, I need your help!

Why a new engine? It’s a small crack in the head... cheaper to buy a head (or even a set of heads) than a new motor. You should be looking at about $1500-2000 to get the job done. You could do it yourself for under a grand.

What's a good way to charge my 12v battery box?

Depends on rig, and what the stock alternator is... with some alternators only being 35 amp units stock from the factory (my Bronco), you can’t add even a simple light because there isn’t enough reserve amps... so like I said you still have to look at how many amps the stock alternator puts...

    Morse Code stuff

I’ve been looking into building my own keyer. For the Icom IC-7100, it just uses a standard 2.5mm headphone jack. So shouldn’t be too hard to make the device...

    Communications Questions....

So if you get a GRMS radio and get the license yes you can still talk to the FRS guys... this actually works quite well. Personally I don’t like walkie-talkies for vehicle to vehicle coms. I prefer a mounted radio, especially while off the pavement. Walkie-talkies are great for spotter to rig...
