    Dog Gone, Camping

I have a Kurgo Tru-Fit harness for Scout, and a back seat bench cover. The harness can either connect around the seatbelt itself or click into the seatbelt receiver, depending which tether you have. I got both so I can do either. As you said, the front seat is no place for a dog when the...

    Dog Gone, Camping

He's picking out his lines ahead of time, scanning the horizon for critters and playing the "what if..." game in his head. If ONLY he could get his paws on the owner's manual for this thing, he might learn how to drive and head out on his own

    Camping

None of those is in New England. Not a one. Guest: being among the 13 original colonies and instigators of the Revolution, New England is one of the most populous regions in the US. Try areas in the White Mountains of NH in the area of Lincoln, Ossipee, and North Conway and Tamworth area...

    Northern Lights

Was excited when I read the Borealis might be seen even in Virginia. Thought for sure central Mass would see them this time. Too much cloud cover

    Rig + Equipment

Nice truck. I've been a Chevy guy since I could drive but the last 5 years or so I've been in a GMC Sierra and I cant see myself switching back. @Alanymarce seem to know what they are doing and been everywhere. I like they added compass and tire repair. I have the NOCO pack and a Ryobi...

What's do you think the most impactful first upgrade is to a rig?

LIFT Although I can see why people say "tires", or even "tyres", and although i think good tires are very very important, all things being equal, the lift is the most impactful in my view. When I was a kid, we spent the better part of a decade traveling up and down Adirondack logging "roads"...

Interesting conversation with Forest Service Ranger

Yeah, I think its THIS ^^^ Money or no money, I'm not leaving brand new kit behind if I've spent a small fortune on it and decided camping wasnt for me. Maybe in a torrential downpour or something, but not "just because"

Can we now just go back to just calling it “car camping”?

With an Outback WILDERNESS edition. Out of the box trail ready. Love those by the way, but people are buying things packaged a certain way, aren't they. Shouldn't be surprised I suppose that others in the outdoor realm packed stuff in the same way.

Can we now just go back to just calling it “car camping”?

[/QUOTE="MOAK, post: 665485, member: 1615"] I actually like Columbia clothing, it’s not nearly as overpriced as brands like The North Face or Patagonia and I find their clothing line to be comfortable & long lasting. But now with this marketing campaign? Jeeze- they’ve lost my respect. I...

Can we now just go back to just calling it “car camping”?

Oh My God. Columbia with an overlanding apparel line. Next thing you know, Jeeps will have a designation for those of thier vehicles that are more capable offroad and on trails...oops. I mean, Jeep shouldn't have a Trail Rated badge because back in the day, Jeep MEANT Trail Rated. Columbia...
