Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
We can leave eariler depending upon the consensus. We had originally slated this day as a half-day, but it’s up to the group. Next week when I send out the email to the RSVPs we can make a final determination. Great question
OK everyone I added the GPX file to download. It has the route from CDA down and it has potential meeting points in Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, or in Joseph OR at Wallowa Lake depending on where you are coming from. Friday night camp is marked, we stayed there last year and it’s a cool spot along a...
We are skipping the get together and just doing the trip because they’re back-to-back weekends
I also updated Post #2 on the meet up thread where we keep all the current month’s info
Hey Gary
My name is Dave and I run the Eastern Washington North Idaho meet up. We usually meet the second Sunday of the month but for March we are changing out the meeting for our trip March 15 through the 17th. We are going down south to Hells canyon and driving out to Dug bar. Pretty easy...
Jonathan! I think I saw you are signed up for our Hells Canyon to Dug Bar trip. I’m glad you are gonna make it, it’s an easy one but great views! We don’t have a meet up this month as we will use the trip. The truck looks great!
Our meet up info is on the second post of the link in my...
Quick solo overnighter touring the Scablands of eastern WA where ice age floods devoured the landscape and created huge coulee’s (French for gully). It would be like Lake Ontario and Lake Eerie both immediately emptying out all their water at once. I went to Dry Falls, 3.5 mile wide waterfall...
You can only come if we get to see how it looks inside!! Haha
Like Garrett said I doubt you’ll have any issues, we’ve seen people drag toy haulers down to the bottom. Idk how fully but it’s a beautiful drive
We are about 2.5 weeks out from this trip and it’s gonna be a good one! A friend of Cody and I who is not yet a member is planning on joining us. He has some physical limitations but that’s not stopping him from wanting to get out and join us in his Tahoe. You guys are gonna like him and his...
It is not diesel but they are expensive. The trade off is basically zero maintenance issues and very reliable. Diesel heaters take some work to get them consistent. The propex HS2211 is an external mount which is great but I ended up making my ammo can box to hide it and store the hoses...
The Propex heater is basically a small home furnace. We set it to 65° like at home to sleep and it cycles on and off through the night. Low battery and propane consumption and my wife is very happy!
It is a cold air return. I was gonna get fancy and make ductwork underneath and route the air in through the floor, but this option was less invasive and works great.
