Guest, UPDATE We went through the site migration runbook and completed all steps. We will need to complete the migration next week, but will leave the forums up for the weekend. A few days after maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.
We've got the Tommy Bahama chairs from Costco. They're really comfortable and go for about $30 each.
Pros
- lay back perfectly flat, with something under your feet it can be used as a cot
- small cooler and storage bag on the back of the chair
- backpack straps make carrying long distance...
Looks good, I've been thinking about doing the same. If you would have made your rack as well, would you have fabricated the brackets or bought them? I've been looking at repurposing mirror relocation brackets.
Great thread. The wife wants to get a kayak. I've gotten pretty fond of SUPs. A buddy and I are going on a 90ish mile stand up paddle board trip next month. Heading down river, will have to portage at two damns plus whatever pops up. Google maps is great for planning but it will only get you so far.
That's great. I do a lot of backpacking as well, and dehydrate my own meals. To experiment with which ones work well I take my various concoctions to work and have them for lunch. Agree that being comfortable with your setup is a valuable.
