Very cool comparison. I think—for me—having the bed is a big plus. I am constantly at the beach and campsites...Having a spot to throw dirty stuff has nothing to do with offroad capability, but I love it so far. I personally think both these vehicles are super cool...Cool to see the AWD...
Nice! Jealous on the lift...Did your dealer say anything about a lift voiding warranty on certain parts? I heard on Maverick Truck Club that Bilstein is developing a Mav lift in concert with Ford that will NOT void warranty. But if your dealer is installing yours maybe it doesn't matter? I think...
Keep an eye on the thread, looks like he installed it already and he’s got people asking.
Personally, I wouldn’t trust that kit. I have a vague recollection of the mounting point and if you get into a wreck, it would do more damage than it would help. When I built my bumper, I welded it to the...
It's definitely crossed my mind, but the wife doesn't really enjoy off roading and the kids are still young. I dont have the budget to start over again and would likely have to sell both my jeeps to do it. and still not have enough to make up the difference to complete the build lol.
I always double knot. Prior to that, when crossing the laces, I cross them at the first boot hooks above instep. Then at the highest set of boot hooks, i double cross the laces then double knot. And I have used 5 50 for hiking boot laces. If I have super long laces, I cross, wrap around the...
There are a few options I would consider, but they are all fairly expensive. If you have nice bikes, it isn't worth the risk going with a lesser rack to save $ imo.
1UpUSA makes an upright hitch rack and a heavy duty version for constant off road use, both of which are modular so you can add...
I may have been unclear, but yes the Fox 2.5 lack adequate dampening for anything more than an unloaded vehicle. they didn't get soft, they started out soft.
Thanks for the reply
Springs are fine (see the bump stop part), the Fox 2.5 are not designed to tow, and they do not work well (unsurprisingly) in that application.
Personally I'm not looking for an "off road" shock, I'm looking for a shock that can be used off road with a bias toward better control of the wheel...
Not surprised it has you a little confused...haha
It's a Chinese Baic BJ40L...quite an interesting vehicle...Saab turbo 2.3L motor...Aisin tranny and a Borgwarner transfercase. Quite popular over here.
Next month we head out for 6 months around northwest China. Stay warm and continue your...
I love the camera itself... I still haven't used it enough. My trips tend to be pretty mobile, and I'm usually the slower moving rig in the group (the FWC is very light, and my truck handles it well... but I'm still not going to bomb a trail like my buddies with long-travel 4Runners setup for...
Massimo? If so, I've had one of those for a couple years now, and it's still chugging along. When it's not in the trailer, we keep it plugged in as a drink fridge in the living room.
I recently picked up the setpower AJ30. It's the same fridge as the iceco jp series, as iceco and setpower are...
I was having a similar debate and ultimately decided on the Subaru Outback Wilderness. I haven't had a chance to test it on a trail at all but plan to do so in the next week or two. So far I'm loving it though.
