I found Overlanding because of E.O.. I have watched all of their expeditions at least a half dozen times. Heck, I downloaded their videos and watched them in camp in the middle of the forest. I even posted the first thread about the new season here for everyone to watch. I got to episode 3...
I considered building one for my truck but truth be told, since it's also my daily driver and hunting rig there won't be any over the hood water crossings in my future. I just don't see the point. My MAF and air inlet already sits 5' off the ground and it's internally baffled in my fender. if...
I woke up to broken parts, lol. I'll be taking off some factory trim pieces that were partially tore off last night when I wasn't paying attention on the trail.
I've seen these threads on other boards and they seem to be popular.. Post up anything you've done that day. It doesn't have to...
As an update I went with 35'' General Grabber At2's. They are great Daily drivers but with my my new found courage in new tires and Mods, I'm quickly out of my element with the morning Virginia mud. They clean up ok so long as I can spin them fast enough.
They really like the OBX sand and BLM...
Welcome to OBF. Nice group.
I've been to Kuwait more times than I'd care to admit, lol. I never got used to the heat but it did solidify the fact that I will always have Air Conditioning, lol.
My Rig is getting up there faster than I thought it was. I'm quickly approaching 200k. These weekend trips to get to the place where I start to go off road are really driving up the miles.
My Nissan only has 1,100 so far, lol. I think that might have to start absorbing some of the daily...
I started and ran one of the largest privately owned Mustang forums on the net for years but eventually got tired of the drama and sold it. After that I modded a few Firearm forums but Overlanding and my want for a more stress free lifestyle took hold. :0)
Michael seems like good people and...
I don't remember seeing any other Excursions on here here but I know there are several full size builds. I find myself wanting a 2000/2001 Excursion often but I'm not sure my trips are worthy of such a big Rig. I'm stuck in the middle. On the full size side of things my F150 is too small for...
I'm not from Canada but I have been there more times than I could count. Mostly I come from The Detroit side and up in Sault Ste. Marie. Collectively I've spent months on Batchawana bay and Sudbury not counting going into Toronto for business.
For years I've been planning to plan (lol) a...
A few days ago while I was making quick work of a few BLM roads heading towards the Appalachians, my steering column started smoking. Something burned up so I needed to replace the blinker switch. Nothing too serious and it was a quick fix but genuine Ford parts sure do fetch a premium, lol.
