I have a few different options in the shop. Black flexible universal 2" flares or 2" stainless strap metal flairs or color matched steel flairs. I haven't decided which route i want to take though.

It happens mine has been sand blasted three times over the course of building it, due to taking to long to get paint on it.
Other projects were done in between. 77 f-100 2wd onto a 77 f-250 4x4 long bed frame(chopped 15 ish inches out of the frame) .Slipped in a 4" lift , then stabbed in a 460 in place of the 351m all mated to a 4 speed. My uncle bought the f-100 new in 1977 and it has 74,000 original miles.

Looking Great....Question: What's your thoughts about how to dissipate all that engine heat? Did that year come with a inside engine cowl?
Engine heat is pulled out the back by the rear mounted radiator and dual fans. The new metal housing will get 4 layers if ceramic heat insulation and 4 layers of sound insulation. The same as the rest of the floor. There was an original inside engine cover but only about 20% of the floor is original and the v8 needed much more room than the original flat head 6 cylinder . A suburban sized A/C will help keep the cab cool.

Awesome! Love the idea of creation! If only I had a garage, my 66 F100 is dying a second death in the salty Florida humidity.
