    Alucab Gen 3

I haven’t seen many people with the same problem, so you should be good. This was a year ago, so if they got complaints I’m sure it got resolved. Just the luck of the draw. It’s an awesome tent! I’m pretty sold on Alucab now. At some point I’d like to get a Tacoma so I have more camp space...

    Calling all FJ Cruisers!

This year I updated my tent, awning, a proper shower tent for my on board hot shower, got a real propane tank mounted, king suspension, and miscellaneous interior upgrades like HAM, BROG bags, HydroBlu water can, and some other stuff I’m sure I’m forgetting. I camp basically every weekend from...

    Wok vs Scottle

No it’s just a cheap propane burner that tightens to the bottom of the skottle. I’d think there would be a lot of heat lost if you just put a big pot on top of the skottle. You would be better off with a big pot and different burner

    Wok vs Scottle

No, it’s not deep enough for boiling really.

    SnoMaster 56d

Made this a few months back. I realize it only has 1 audio channel. By the time I could finally find info on why it was happening, I would have had to redo all the editing and for video in a refrigerator, the audio is fine. That’s what I get for not doing a test run on a new audio recorder! I...

Looking for a new set of Binoculars

Vortex Diamondbacks if they arent too expensive for you. You can find them used for 120 on forums or craigslist. Vortex will replace them if you even run them over. 10x42 If you have more money, the Vortex Vipers are what I have now. Id eventually like the Razors but Vipers are good enough for...

    Snow camping

Deep snow we use a Kifaru sawtooth and seek outside stove. I will sleep in the RTT with the Espar d2 pumping heat if it’s close by though. Depends on the situation.

    Heading to Yellowstone 2017

Old thread, but do you care to share this info with me? My wife and I are meeting up with my sister and her husband in Yellowstone this summer. They have a camper, and I am in a RTT. It would be nice to have some options for camping! Thank you.

Looking for a way to heat up the tent with out propane, or electricity

I built one of these. Tent stays at 68 degrees during hunting season while I sleep. It doesn’t suck.

Buying a(n) FTM-400xdr, what are the must have accessories?

You probably already have, but yes get the RT software. I programmed about 75 repeaters to the sd card in about 15 minutes using the software. Well worth the 25$. It has access to repeater book built right into it.

Why ham radio vs cb radio??

I always thought ham might be cool to get into but I never had used it before it looked into it. A guy I met last year at the Fj Summit gave me a handheld because he didn’t have cb, and we operated on a simplex channel. The audio is way clearer, half the time I can’t understand what people are...

    Water Use

The straws wont cut it for sure! I have several brands and types of water filters for back country hunting, and I always carry a spare if I am relying on filtration. Gravity bags, UV lights, pumps, etc.
