Engineer/Statistician by days... Collector of traditional and archaic skills by night. Love anything that gets me outdoors. Lived all over the globe, primarily southeastern and desert southwest US.
I'm a bit anti-tech at home, which contrasts with my day job at a high technology internet retailer.
CV includes lots of worthless paper and several degrees, solely due to the fact that I never figured out what I want to be when I grew up.
My username refers to both the useless degrees and the fact that I collect ink in the form of tattoo. Currently have approximately 70% coverage.
Overland / outdoors related skills: traditional bushcraft (hey, I grew up in WV, that's still bleeding edge technology there!), field expedient tools/shelters, wilderness medicine (Rescue Diver, EMT level).
My mid-term overlanding goal is to run the TAT (TransAmerica Trail), as well as "Four Corner" the US and Canada (thereby, North America) using as many unpaved roads as feasible. I expect to accomplish this during the 18 months-plus between my current job and whatever comes next.
I am up for both carefully-planned and spur-of-the-moment trips and am generally good company in camp. If you are local-ish in my AO, hit me up!
