Facebook Group for OB Northwest Region

At the moment, the Facebook group is for members only, per Overland Bound admin requests. If that changes then I'll be excitedly able to change it back to open requests.

Newbie Basic Trail Run, Discussion & Potluck down the Historic Barlow Road - 08/13/2017

We've moved this event to run down Barlow Road because TSF OHV trails have been closed since the 3rd. We were hoping that they'd reopen but with the lack of rain and no change of weather in the pending future, it'll more than likely stay closed through the end of the month. We did check with...

Newbie Basic Trail Run, Discussion & Potluck down the Historic Barlow Road - 08/13/2017

We will not be if the fire danger stays where it is and TSF is closed. They've already marked TSF as closed as of tomorrow due to the high heat and fire warnings. We'll be keeping a very close eye on this and may either move the event location or cancel it depending on the situation at that...

    Portland Area Shop?

I've personally used Accessory Outfitters for everything I couldn't manage to date. Patrick the owner is a super knowledgeable guy.

    Best Family Capable Rig?

I'd say for a family of 3-4 a 4Runner 3rd gen or newer are great family rigs. My family is only 3 and my daughter is 4 now. We bought an '07 Sequoia because of the full size with third row seats. While we as a family don't use the third row, we often take trips with our friends (a family of 4)...

    Skid plates and sliders

First modification I made was to add sliders (double wall steel). I run a vehicle that isn't widely supported, Toyota Sequoia, so most things have to be custom made. That said we're working with a fabricator in California to build a rear bumper to protect that massive rear end. Next up will be...

Facebook Group for OB Northwest Region

Welcome to the group! I hope we can get more folks involved in the group. I think OB Michael is looking into adding a community events section to the forums. Then we wouldn't need the group but it is handy.

Facebook Group for OB Northwest Region

Hey OBNW, it's come up a few times that we don't have a good way to share events on here at the moment so.... I started a OBNW Facebook group so we can get more folks involved with the OB movement! Here is the group link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/241105089639208/

    Who's in the Region?

Yeah the PDX Overlanders have a meetup account or something that allows for the posting of events. I don't think the OverlandBound site allows for community events to be posted. Maybe we'all have to get a OBNW group together and post events in there. Thoughts?
