I grew up on a farm in a remote region of South Africa near the Zimbabwean border but live in the UK currently and work as Civil engineer on various London Underground railway projects as self employed contractor.
After 18 years in the UK I’m planning like so many South Africans (Also referred to as Saffas by most) before me to drive my 4x4 from London back to Cape Town via the East Africa Route in the not so near future (Hopefully before the end of 2020 if this Cerona business allows it).
Even though I have 4x4 experience from growing up on a farm, and one or two overlanding trips to Namibia and Mozambique years ago, I would very much say I still fall in the novice overlanding category.
I look forward to learning from all of you and your experiences!
