Just got another update. The suspect has been identified as John Thomas Conway, 40, from Oroville, CA. He has priors and has been on Butte County Sheriff Departments "Most Wanted" list since August of 2019.

All of my information is coming directly from SCSO. I don't trust anything that any of the news companies write anymore haha.

The suspect did not take their Jeep. He was in a sidexside.

Any further info I receive I will post. Nothing new at this time.

The shooter didn't stick around. It was the deceased mans teenage son who was lost in the woods for 30 hours.

The investigation of the shooting has been completed and the trail has been reopened. I just got of the phone with Sierra County Sheriff's Office regarding this. We are good for launch!
