Looking to put a roof rack on my JK , I found these bracket mounts made by Surco (J600).
Was wandering if anyone runs this mounting system on there jeep and any pros and cons?
I own a machine shop here in vine grove and will be making my own cross bars and basket .
Thanks!-AJ

Fill up a Nalgene bottle or bigger water bottle (you can pre salt and season this way )
Or buy the liquid egg beaters in the carton and just toss them in your cold box.
Definitely a big pot of chili , cooked a day or two before (chili is better after it sits for a day , let’s the flavors soak in) put into ziplock bags and froze/refrigerated . Throw them in the cold storage box/cooler or in the arb fridge/freezer . Heat it all up when at the campsite , grill up...
My two every day knives .
Esee-3 (carry on my back with spare mag)
Benchmark auto Stryker mini (in my front pocket )
I also keep a spartan fixed blade in my go bag in the jeep anytime I’m camping
I love their gear , I use a few things of theirs as well.
I’d say the only downside (if you wanna call it that) it’s really just a learning curve . Is getting used to the foot pump . The little rubber hose that connects the pump to the bag itself flexes pretty easily (so you can position it...
The radiused drawers look fantastic , I own a CNC router 5’x10’ so we have always just ran a few radius tools down the edges of our drawer systems , but I believe I like your look better
@YouInTheShirt im assuming you have the cold weather gear for the hammock? (Bc next moth is still suppose to be high 30s’ for a low I believe .) I have A 07Jku that I have been able to lay the seats flat , throw in a sleeping pad (Nemo thermo) and sleep in my rig ,beside my Plano boxes of gear ...
Ran my first spartan this past year . Didn’t compete , just ran it as a team. By far the most fun I’ve had doing any cardio . (I’m the shirtless dirty one there, I like to wallap in the mud)
Awesome idea ! The only downside to that would be size (at least for me in the JK) .
I recently purchased the Nemo Helio shower and I love it . When not in use it deflated into a 8”dia(rough) 4” thick . Disc . Worth checking out . Even has a foot pump to place on the ground to keep pressure...
Hey y’all! New member here. From the Vine grove KY area. Been camping all my life , bought a 07 JkU a few years back and have since gotten into overlanding (still fairly new).
Done a few trips trough the gorge area (mostly camping) and a few trips through pisgah and unaka (first real overlanding...
