Forum Upgrades: Whats Going On? Video
After 30 years of Backpacking my knees finally gave out on me so I have looked for other avenues to indulge my love of nature and the outdoors. I started paddling 10 years ago and this scratched the itch but I truly missed being deep in the wilderness. A friend of mine introduced me to overlanding and I was instantly hooked. I traded my Nissan Truck for an FJ and am in the process of modifying it to suite my needs. I am not a rabid 4x4 enthusiast, but I believe this will be the way I get back out in the places I miss.
I believe in conservation, treading lightly and leaving the land better than you found it. I am a certified master naturalist from the state of Georgia but now reside the the Tampa Bay region of Florida.
I am looking forward to meeting many great people and spending some quality time outside.
