Here’s my front setup. Sorry to jack your thread just not a lot of Burb guys here lol.

Suburban Rebellion - Go Big or Go Home - 2013 Suburban Build

Looks good! I deleted the autoride by putting resistors at each shock and the pump. Tricks the pcm into thinking it's aired up. How much did that lift drop the front diff? I'm running around 9" of lift on my Burb and it's getting 35s this spring. Here's an older pic, I've changed a few things.

Suburban Rebellion - Go Big or Go Home - 2013 Suburban Build

Since you'd need a new cam and lifters with the AFM delete you could address some of the power issues there. Long tube headers and less restrictive cats/muffler would bump you up a little more. I'd worry more about lifter failure than the ease of stock maintenance on a new motor. If you are...

Suburban Rebellion - Go Big or Go Home - 2013 Suburban Build

What are your plans? I would look into AFM delete if you want that new motor to last longer than the last one.

    Buy new or buy used.

Not following the logic that a new vehicle purchase is a good investment just because you plan on keeping it after it's paid for or that you know how it's been treated. There are too many pre-owned and hardly used vehicles sitting on dealer lots to justify that line of thinking. How many 4x4's...

    2001 toyota 4runner project

On a lot of lifts you are just going to have to set to max caster and live with it, as long as you are getting a decent return to center feel on the steering wheel it is fine. Caster doesn't affect tire wear or stability, just tracking to a certain extent but mostly steering wheel reaction. Not...

Part of the unstable sensation is higher center of gravity. You'll get used to that. There's a reason lift kits come with all of those warning stickers :)

    05 Burb

Yep my 'build' is pretty weak considering so may steps are left out. I could fill 2 pages with just suspension progression/mods from stock to leveled to coilovers. Haven't even mentioned any performance mods/how many tires I've been through, what worked and what didn't so far. I have some...

    05 Burb

Most recent shot of the glam wagon. I'm pretty OCD/can't leave something alone so it changes a lot. I know this look isn't as utilitarian as most rigs on the site but it's still just as capable. Just shinier.

    05 Burb

I've changed up a few things, took off my roof rack because I never used it and it just made gas mileage worse. You can stuff a lot of gear into a burb so it was really just for looks. I do miss having the lights up there though. Edit - just noticed you were responding to Jelorian haha Do you...

    Tacoma all generations build thread

There's already a Tacoma pic heavy forum it's called "Overland Bound" :P

    Buy new or buy used.

Gothere I was thinking he was looking at total cost of ownership (new vehicle & insurance = older vehicle plus mods/repairs). I think if you plan on heavily modifying you'll almost always come out ahead used. But then I'm one of those guys that can't understand why people buy new at all, it's a...

    Buy new or buy used.

I'd combine those 2 ideas and buy a used Tacoma. Best of both worlds. Could probably find one already somewhat set up.

The Rot Wagon: Lifted 99 Subaru Impreza

Probably my favorite build on here besides an XJ (can't remember who's, tons of fab work though) and a Power Wagon that another guy is building. Your rover is in my top 5 too. Probably number one on my "want to see it running" list. This ride makes we want to get a beater and build it all out...
