I did a ton of research on roof racks and I just ordered a Front Runner Slimline II. The accessory catalog is really impressive in addition to the excellent design of the rack itself.

I drive a Jeep JKU. I love it because it's easy to build the way I want it. But I'm a "car guy" first. So I love all forms - particularly the rigs that are unique. I have this tent for family trips, and then an REI Quarter Dome for solos or 2-person trips. Both are excellent in my opinion.

I use the REI Quarter Dome. It packs very small, is very lightweight, easy to set up, and a good amount of room inside.

Check out BOLD Overland on You Tube as well. There aren't a lot of episodes, but they're pretty good...particularly the episode where they have the big "oops" - you'll see.
