I purchased this shelf and flipped it over. cut the sides down and then riveted it to the back bottom. The 24 inch drawer slides are from lowes.- PaulieBlueTaco

Yes it is 3/4 and it is strong enough to lay on and I am 210lbs. does not bow at all. The other parts are 3/4 pine and the bottom of the box is just 3/4 particle board to cut down on the weight.- PaulieBlueTaco
