  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

    Kids and Overlanding

Hi! We camp with three littles- 7, 5, and 4. I've found the biggest trick is just easing into it and building the idea that this is going to be fun. We camped in the backyard many times testing setups and attention spans for a long time. I always bring a laptop with lots of movies. I make sure...

    1985 Vanagon Westfalia, 0-60 In 11 Minutes

Nice! I ran them through the closet and along the back of the headbanger- both have proved super useful: Control panel for lights looks dope. [emoji108]

    Anyone else use Pie Irons?

Don't get me wrong...I love my Skottle for big meals and prepping food for a culinarily demanding crew... But I've started cooking with Pie Irons/Jaffle Irons over the fire: And man- hooked! Anyone else use these and care to share some fav concoctions?

The preferred starting point from the site is Spaas Creek and to do the loop counterclockwise. The Cartotracks map works well.

We haven't done the whole thing yet. There are sections that would be impassable to a Subaru. It's a 98 mile loop- i've seen people do it in one day but we like to go slow and look around.

We've been to the DBBB one time about a month ago and really liked it. It has a good range of trail difficulty and took us to parts of the park we had never seen. The route is well laid out and the digital map works well. Highly recommend.

Yo! Same here- not sure I've got time to spend the whole day. Either take the van and say "hey" or bring the Rover and stick around. Have you spent much time at the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway?
