I began "Overlanding" as it were, by necessity. While in the US Navy, I traveled a lot due to changing commands. Being originally from California, and having spent most of my time on the East Coast, I took that as an opportunity to pack my Honda and drive. Through the course of my service, I drove to and through almost 20 states. I continued my nomadic adult life by settling with my wife in Colorado, instead of California, when my service was done. My wife and I enjoy taking road trips and have been on several to other states. When it came time to purchase a new vehicle, I settled on the Tacoma and began the process of making it an off-road rig. I still didn't know Overlanding was a thing when i purchased the truck. It wasn't till recently I discovered this community and specifically Overland Bound and decided to join. Hopefully I will see you all out there on the road and wilderness.
