My wife Gayle and I have been roadtripping for many years. Initially we were cross-country motorcycling and loved the adventure. More recently we have been getting into the backcountry in our Range Rover Sport, largely to pursue my landscape photography passion. Gayle is a geocacher and this keeps her happily occupied while I am taking photos. We have just purchased an Off Grid Pando trailer and look forward to a little more comfort as we hit the backroads (we previously slept in the back of the RR!). I have only recently become aware of the term "overlanding" but it seems to perfectly fit our preference for travel. And Overland Bound seems the ideal source for information, education and camaraderie.
Update: Traded the RR for a '21 4Runner for the added reliability. We now feel really confident in getting away from it all!
