I just got back Sunday night from the Mojave Road. Weather was perfect! We went east to west, camped the first night at Camp Phallus. If you get the big campground at the base of the balancing rocks it will be worth it. The other campsites we saw were in wooded areas with limited views...

I am saving up for a lift for my JKU. Currently planning to buy the AEV 3.5" Dualsport RS lift. And with a new lift that means new 35" tires, which will require shiny (figuratively speaking) new black AEV Salta wheels. And to properly turn those new wheels & tires over will require regearing...

For anyone who has been there in the last few weeks, is the road closure still in effect west of Fort Piute? If so, did you follow the recommended trail or cut across country more, like Signal Hill or Pipeline Road?

My Dad and I will be out there the 24th through 27th, driving east to west. Maybe we will see some of you out there. This is our first time and the perfect time of year.
