Good for you! The X zones are pretty good areas. Our A zone archery starts July 11th as you know. I've been getting things ready. Cleared some of the roads Sunday, now just need to sling some arrows at my target in the next week and a half.

I do understand Texas has some pretty good Whitetail, was just wondering which place would be a good place to go. Maybe a reference from someone that went on a ranch that was a good place. How it was, pictures of a buck or two they took.

Where do you go in Texas? Been wanting to get a whitetail for a very long time. Have a lot of Blacktail on the ranch here in Northern California. Have a nice Idaho Mule deer, would just like to get a decent Whitetail.

Good for you! What deer zone did you draw? I keep putting in for elk and antelope in California. And once in awhile I put in for X3b for Deer. Still draws :-(

I grew up Hunting in Northern California. My wife and I both hunt. Mainly Blacktail and pigs here. We do go out of state off and on to hunt Mule Deer and Elk. I've taken a lot of Blacktail, looking to get a whitetail. Got a nice Mule deer (28" 5x5) in Idaho when I was hunting with my horse...

I picked up "Pack Mule" trailer several years ago and slowly fixed it up for over landing. Made a trip this last July just before all the fires started here in Northern California.

My wife and I both hunt here in Northern California. We do go out of state about every other year. We have a lot of Blacktail deer here....hard deer to hunt, but we usually do pretty good. Use to have a lot of hogs on the ranch, but not so many right now.....they'll be back (I hope). Also...
