100 series is a great platform, just aftermarket parts take a bit more searching for than a Jeep, 4runner or Tacoma. Ih8mud.com is an excellent source of information. There are also a lot of groups on FB. There are a few that show up to the East Bay Overland Meets on the 2nd Sunday in Pleasanton.
My wife Mara & I wanted to thank everyone for the warm welcome yesterday. We rolled in late around 2:30pm in a white '99 Toyota Land Cruiser. Seems like a great group and we are planning to attend more often and join in on a few future trips!

Thats a great project! A buddy of mine just picked up a '96 xlt AWD 4.0, with a popup top. We've been looking into lift springs with little results. How did you fit the 235/75-15s? Stock suspension, some means of lift, inner fender clearancing? Do the tires rub when you have a wheel tucked?
