    Communications for the Beginner

Unless you add an external antenna turning up the power won't do much but heat up the "ducky" antenna On the uv5r. At least that's what I read on ham forums. On low power mode I've gone 4.4 miles, per my gps, and could still hear clearly. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    How About the WJs?

Sorry, no pics on this phone. But I'm running my second WJ put 200K on the first. A 2004, 2.5" fat bobs lift with fox shocks. Projector headlights, not a fan of the look but they work well. Sent from my iPhone using OB Talk

    '04 Jeep WJ

Do you have mounts for the hilift under the seat. Or does it just fit right in. I like that location. Out of the way. Sent from my iPhone using Overland Bound Talk

    Honeymoon 2017

Sounds like a blast. I don't know that country at all but since it's a honeymoon I thought I'd mention something I learned on an early overland anniversary trip. 1999 WJ Grand Cherokee Adventure Rig

I went with the fatbobs 2.5" springs. And fox shocks upgrade. I'm really happy with it. Still manageable to be my wife's daily driver. Sent from my iPhone using Overland Bound Talk

    Downloadable bumper plans

@timberwolf_120 that sounds like a good idea. It looks like my buddy is going to be busy for the a while. I'm going to look into a precut kit. We'll see. [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Overland Bound Talk

    Downloadable bumper plans

@roamingtimber man that turned out really nice. I like the recovery points. I put an Iceland off-road bumper on my last wj. It had similar d ring points. Sent from my iPhone using Overland Bound Talk

    Downloadable bumper plans

@timberwolf_120 is that the flatland bumper? did you buy the pre-cut kit? Looks pretty good. I have a set of plans but haven't pulled the trigger on getting them cut out yet. A friend of mine has a cnc laser I was hoping to get some time on. But they have been slammed and unable to fit me in...
