May need to get rid of my Cummins suburban, but no clue about the market, if any.

(my wife) might have to sell my 95 suburban with a 95 cummins paired to a built 4L80e, lifted on 35s, (because it's my commuter I had to keep it reasonable.) A bunch of random stuff, with a bunch more planned (part of her dislike of the truck now that my financial situation is very different)...

    High mileage rigs?

If you know and trust them that is huge. I picked mine up, as an unfinished project, and, yes he was fairly honest with where he left off on the project, but he was the third owner. Who knows what he neglected to tell me, what he neglected to fix, and what he outright just didnt know, but it has...

    High mileage rigs?

"I have 300K on my Cummins, and those are known to go a million miles and keep on ticking (or rattling as the case may be)."(I messed the quote function up, oops.) Yep, my cummins swapped suburban has an odo that says 310k but isnt the original so who knows, and I got the cummins, allegedly...

    X-Bull Recovery Tracks...another inexpensive alternative

No discoloration or obvious weathering, used them a couple times and they still look fully functional. I do us 303 aerospace uv protectant on everything exposed to the sun. (except for the solar panel) who knows if that helps or if they would be fine regardless.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Replaced the old drums with disc brakes. Kit from lugnut 4x4. Required a little clearancing for it to work but it bolted right up. Replaced bearings and seals while I was in there.

    Coffee Set Ups

I put a second battery and solar panel in just so I can bring an espresso machine with me. Nothing like a cappuccino in the middle of nowhere.

    Anyone into SCUBA or snorkeling?

Hard hat dive medic turned pure recreational. Sipadan is the greatest diving I have ever seen, by far. Limited number of dives allowed per day, island protected from poachers by gunboats and a naval base, machine gun nests on the beach and I have never been surrounded by so much, and varied sea...

Any details on the front suspension conversion? Looking to do the same on my 95 suburban.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Yep, those are hose clamps I riveted to the body. Inelegant but it works, which is really the truck as a whole.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Nice, did the same for my suburban. But I was less clean on the install.

So far I have avoided that. I'd like to keep that trend going. Though the bear spray incident occurred when I was slower to act than if the guy had a gun. In a similar instance I have had a gun pulled on me in anger. So accounting for that the bear spray was still more effective.

Coyote Flats with some minor mishaps

Hot dry and dusty. Fairly sterp but more just a long steady climb. Nothing to difficult though a few places of 6-10" rocks, also a few ditches. I made it in a suburban so the trail up is plenty wide, some of the side trails narrow a bit but I still made it just with some pinstriping.

    OB Approved Camping with Firearms

As I think was referenced earlier, if not easy to search for. Bear pray was significantly more effective in close quarters bear incidents than firearms. 67% vs 92% (i think) uninjured, and those that were injured while using bear spray sustained minor injuries not requiring hospitalization. The...
