It was packed but we found a nice spot for our three vehicles. The people around there were real nice and other than the occasional friendly dog saying hi, we didn't really feel like they were there.

    Monache Meadows July 3-6th

We ended up at the River camp spots for the weekend. I was looking for badges when were went out to the water crossings but didn't see any. How did you guys get back to the spot you posted. it looked to be behind some ranch fencing. If you saw the tan Ford van or my white Ram Megacab, that was us.

    What do we really need?

The only thing you "need" is a well maintained vehicle and fuel to get it down the road. Everything else is comfort and possibly safety. Get what makes you happy and don't worry about if others think it is need or a luxury.

US West Lower 805 and upper 818

I'll try and make it. Parking at the small lot directly across from Red Robin / Lazy Dog might be tough to get rigs together if we want to do any show and tell.

I always use 4lo. If it is slow or rough enough to shift out of 2wd I just go straight to 4lo. I most always air down as well. I am surprised you guys had that much trouble.
