gaia allows you to attach a photo (jpg) to a waypoint, which is really nice. most of the filesize is probably from the photos.

4MB limit. it's been an issue for me.

gaia. OnX is decent, but falls short when it comes to importing gpx tracks, due to it's filesize limitation.

I get it. Surfing in Baja with my truck camper is one of my fave things to do. PM me if you ever want to caravan. With a little notice, I can possibly line up a couple other TCs to join. There's some safety in numbers --- and in avoiding certain areas.
