Thanks to everyone that responded, I got my answer. I'll be closing the thread soon. Yes overlanding in a lot of ways has gone elitist but a lot, if not most who responded here have not. Guess I'll try to stay optimistic. Thanks again you all are awesome !!

Honestly, I agree with you about putting the front on passenger side. I'd put a 170 degree awning on drivers side for shade when I didn't need or want the rtt up. Lol no particular reason though really, I just think it looks better that way.

If it's any consolation, having mom raise them is most important and they will appreciate that a lot someday.
