Live in the greater St. Louis area. I am an overlanding newbie. I need a rig. I am fond of 100 series Landcruiser with the 4.7 V8 or even the LX470. My son in law wants me to get a 2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen with the large hemi and he swears the ram truck stuff fits it. I prefer Toyota but I need to know what makes sense and what does not. I need to know what is DIY and what is best left to the professionals. I seems like many rigs are way too heavy. I am a minimalist...not so much for the General.
