Subbing, definitely want to watch this get built. I was super excited when I found out the euro Ranger was making its way back to us. After months of shopping around between the Ranger, Colorado, and Tacoma, I ended up with a Tacoma but I'm always stoked to bump into a Ranger on the trail. Good...
I don't understand the problem some people have with the interior room on a Tacoma. Maybe it's because I came from cars and jeeps, but it's more than room enough for me. I don't bump elbows with the wife, the dog loves having the back seat, I have cup holders for days.
Never owned a Nissan...
It takes me a long time to get around to processing my photos. This is from a trip I did 6 months ago, finally started sorting through them about 20 minutes ago.
Got the roof rack put on and I think it balances so well with the sliders that it's like I fell in love with my truck all over again. We're going to have a nice quiet dinner at home together to celebrate our new found appreciation of one another. I invited my wife to join us.
Yeah I already have all of the items that come in it, but I'm okay with having spares that fit. I would definitely keep our camp knife, but the tongs and turner I use were I think $2 each from City Market in Moab and we've had them for 2-3 years now.
Seriously considering this:
Currently I have all of our utensils in a roll but I'm toying with the idea that this will remain better organized. I already have a larger cutting board I bring as well, but a small backup might be useful for prep.
I get cold sweats when I see 6" lifts on a truck. Take my opinion with a grain of salt, because I've never done any in-depth research beyond reading other people's experience and questions surrounding 6" lifts, but my takeaway is that they're absolutely shift for off-roading. Their primary use...
There's some info in there on airing down and tire pressures. His whole channel is great, feel free to head down that rabbit hole. Airing down is almost essential on more difficult trails, and can still be worth it even on easier trails as it'll greatly improve your ride over uneven ground. Just...
Alloys tend to be lighter, but not always. Offset is up to you; do you need more offset to fit a bigger tire? Do you like the wider stance? I'm all for a slightly wider stance myself, but too much and your truck looks like a toy. The beadlock look is personal preference. If you're asking about...
Bought a 27g and two 5g Commander Yellowtop bins. The 5's fit inside the 27 and they're perfect height to hold fuel, liquids, and some other miscellaneous gear. It reduces the 3 shallow bins we've been using for the last 2 years into one. ONE. Muahahahahahahah
Sorry, organization brings the...
I can't remember which one, but it was an overlanding channel on YT that originally brought the grabber's to my attention. Iirc they were provided the tires for the purposes of selling the product, but the review seemed genuine. After that I started seeing them on a few other channel rigs, in a...
It's a good tread pattern. :flushed:
Again, K02; very capable, very proven tire. The minivan ruined it for me. Also the sidewall treads on the Grabber are different so you can't mistake the two!
