Superstrut is very strong and more than enough for my girl and I (220# and 130#) plus our Ruggedized Tepui at about 185#. Not as cool looking as the superstrut cage above, but it was a quick fix to a problem before a 2 week road trip and worked great!
Probably quite a bit smaller than you think you need. Obviously ice takes up space in the chest, but I was ignorant as to just how much space. We grabbed the duel zone Dometic 75qt based on the size of our goto ice cheat and it is insane how much food and drinks we can pile in that thing.
Congrats on your success so far! Our Dometic was a gamechanger for us and has been running non stop in the jeep for a year now. Camping, Costco, tailgating... it’s been great!
Great tips, thanks! I didn’t realize the full bladder was battling my attempt to stay warm... I am definitely guilty of not wanting to get up to do the deed and instead laying there in misery for a few hours (winter time only of course).

We finally bit the bullet for the back of our JKU and went with the Dometic 75DZ as well... would never go back. Very nice having a fridge AND a freezer in one.
