    Teardrop project

Just curious if you got it or not. I would love to find an old teardrop like that. That would be a fun project. Hank

    Pick-up Trucks

My Ford trucks have gone hundreds of thousands of miles without a hiccup. My business is warranty claims on new vehicles. I believe it is a perceived reliability. We see plenty of Toyota truck claims come through our office. Any truck, if well taken care of, should get you where you want to...

Any Stories of being stuck off road and needing Search & Rescue to get out...

I hope part 2 of your story is how you found the local who told you that you could make that run and how you whipped his ass. : ) Hank

    Vehicle logging

I have an old 3 hole binder 3" thick. I punch and keep all receipts in there. I also keep all the install and product manuals for all the aftermarket parts I purchased for my jeep. Surprising how often I've had to look back at a manual to check torque specs and stuff. Hank

    Beach trip

Looks like you had a great time and had it all to yourself. Days like that are refreshing to the soul. Glad you were able to get out. Hank

ARE YOU A PARTY CRASHER?LETS TALK SOME TRASH

I was at Drummond Island in Michigan's upper peninsula this spring. We were on a trail ride/trail cleanup run. We must have had 10 rigs in our group. I was second from the end and I picked up more trash than all the other rigs combined. A apologized to the guy running last for all my stops...

Overland Bound is an amazing Organization!

That is awesome. Mine is corroding too. I assumed it was from living in Michigan. I had mine for a year or two before I installed it. Mine corroded rather quickly. That is great service. Well done Overland Bound!! Hank

    Tired tires?

Even though it is a small area my understanding is that it is ok to patch a tire on the tread area but never on the sidewall. All sidewall damage is always a replaced tire. I don't know if I would want to drive any distance at any speed on a tire with a sidewall patch. Hank

Thanks for the article. Already printed out several sets of the lists as these will be handy. Hopefully heading to the UP of Michigan this spring. I will post how well the lists work and some pics of the trip. Hank

    Dutch oven bread

I'm pretty sure that bread should be baked at around 400 - 450 degrees F. What was the result you got? Hank

    Dutch oven bread

Nice recipe. Thanks for sharing it. I have a dutch oven but really need to use it more to get more comfortable using it. Thinking of digging it out this winter and cooking some stuff on the deck. Keep them coming. Hank

    New 35" Tires!..Now Which Gears...?

I had the 3 1/2" AEV lift and loved the look and the off road performance. Due to the fact I have the Mopar lifetime extended warranty it was possible they could have cancelled my warranty so I switched to the Mopar 2" lift. The Mopar lift rides much better for my daily commute. I have not...

    Drummond Island, U.S, Canada, Anyone?

I have been there with you!! Several years ago when I still had my green Sahara Jeep YJ we went up on the weekend with GLFWDA and helped the DNR put the trail signs up and clear some trails out. It seems like at that time you had an older Toyota truck you were driving. I do love Drummond...

    Michigan trails

If you get a chance you should check this web site http://www.glfwda.org/content.php?s=4c0e0cb3e039dc1601d9431218a74bee . If you can join you will have several chances throughout the year to join in on trail rides and land cleanup events. They do so much ground work to expand off roading in...
