The frame, and 454 drive train are together and actually running now (a few bugs)..! FINALLY..! I'll be shortening the wheelbase, and rebuilding all the suspension components before putting the H3 body back on top of it all now. The H3 GM should've built is getting closer to completion..!

    Subaru Baja Sedan

Hey Low, nice to meet ya..! I just sold my Virago 1100 Bobber this past week, military injuries were finally getting the better of me. I totally dig your Subaru choice, they're a great vehicle..! My old Outback went everywhere with very little work.

The Tundra is a real, serious off road truck, you won't be disappointed in ANY way at all.

    NEED HELP CHOOSING!!

I'm not a fan of GM too much anymore. Although I'm currently building an H3, and I gutted everything... EVERY SINGLE THING... I really like the Dodge V6 diesel. But my favorite is the older Land Rovers or FJs.

With just a quick search, I'm finding the ISB 170 priced all over the map too... $1250.oo (apart but suitable for rebuild) and clear up the ladder from there to $500.oo (fully built and running with the harness)... Time to add it to the equation..! Thanks Motohead..! Sent from my SM-J327R4...

The G.M. Hummer that should've worked...

Hey Motohead.! Oh yeah, I really like 2.8 Cummins, in fact I completely dig it, but the price point was still out there too high right now with the other stuff going on in the family... The ISB 170 was not considered, and after just a quick look at the performance and specs, I'm going to dig...

Darthyota..! How are you..?! You're right, maybe even a little more than 700, I may be doing a serious suspension plan immediately following the swap... I think maybe moving it back a little bit might help, but I believe it will be a little lighter than the 454 I was going to shove in there...

When I was a teenager (the 80s) we lived in Arkansas and knew a man who was at the time, living in a cave, he literally left his home after coming home from Military Service and lived, everyday in the cave. Fast forward to 2015. I finally after years, went to get my motorcycle endorsement on my...

The G.M. Hummer that should've worked...

Okay..! Huge update... First, I've been watching the Overland Bound Facebook page and following stuff there... Now, the H3 update. After all the searching for a decent Mercedes OM606 and turning up empty, except for the over inflated prices of a good donor vehicle, I have decided to not go with...

Sounds like a plan, I'll be watching for your axle build, I've got to get a couple of 60s going, or at least 44s for the H3, the solid axle swap will have to happen after it's moving around on it's own next month... I agree with you on playing in the snow..! I had a blast doing reverse donuts...
