From last summer (weather here right now not conducive to these. . . )

Window covers:
Although these just look cool as Hell, they also work exceptionally well to allow me to lean out and check my line while off-roading.
Chase light / 3rd brake light from CookCraft Metal LLC. Not sponsored, just a satisfied customer. If a company is making gear for a 30-year vehicle that never received much aftermarket support, I'm buying their stuff to support them. . .
The amber light is Baja Designs S2 Sport, and since...
Secondary color swap. . .
Long story short - - I went with the gray secondary color based on a mis-read of the Monstaliner paint color chart . . . that was 5 years ago, and since the interior is beige/brown, made sense to shift to tan on the exterior. . .
Also upgraded wheel tire combo to...
From my first post: "I had a 1991 Explorer Sport that I acquired in 1993 and spent the next 24 years modifying it, with a lot of upgrades and re-dos as time, technology and funds allowed. In Spring 2017, on a rare commuting trip it was totaled . . ."
Well, one of the cool things on that rig...
. . . but wait, what about that sweet-ass visor shelf . . . ? Work out alright ? After installing mine I could never see having switches anywhere else. . .
Great write-up, thanks for sharing.
"So started out with some cardboard template action, and then built some mount brackets. . ."
Love the use of analog CAD - - carboard assisted design. . . Well done, that didn't take long to go from idea to production and nice job making it your own. For me, putting the shelf and switches...
Got a few stickers as well. . .
Couple more pics from the shelf fab project. . .
You get the idea. . . . Just have to consider the sight lines based on your seat adjustment and positioning as its roughly 4 inches that you 'lose' from the top of the windshield. Also helps if you are...
Thanks, it mounts on each side to the OEM visor three-hole mounts, the unit is both bought and fabbed, as it was originally sized for an F-150.
This rig is a "re-build tribute" of a long-owned first generation Explorer Sport I owned that was totaled - - so all the good bits were transferred...
Improvements. . .
1. Seven new shocks (including steering stabilizer). Reservoir shocks are SkyJacker "ADX 2.0", supplemental front shocks and steering stabilizer SkyJacker "Black Max".
For my fellow RBV enthusiasts, these shocks are mounted to F-250 shock towers, about 4" taller than OEM...

Awesome truthful statement. . .
Have this on my door jamb threshold . . .
Not to hi-jack, my build thread tag line starts out "Three ashtrays, two doors, one cupholder, zero airbags. . ."
Great work.
Really enjoying your build thread and customization of the Raider - - great mix of projects and wheeling. Having an oddball rig definitely brings out the "Mad Scientist" / "How can I make this 'Jeep accessory' work. . . .? " mentality which is vastly more entertaining than simply bolting on...
Nice rig - - diesel, I'm guessing due to right-hand drive. . . (and due to the word "diesel" in the thread title. . . derp)
As an owner of an odd-ball rig, you've got to get pretty inventive to get it geared up. Not just endless choices for the Jeeps and Tacomas. . .
My rear storage...
