With 35s and lockers, you’ll be able to run just about any trail you could want to do in the US. Those you can’t will probably be trails that buggies or purpose built rigs on 40s or larger will be running.
If you run trails that actually require something larger than 35s, those trails will...
Nice rig, I love seeing more people using Jeeps for their intended purpose. Dig the color too.
I see a lot of people new to wheeling jump straight to 37's with the JL though. Not sure what your experience with wheeling or Jeeps is, but just because they fit with small lifts doesn't mean they...
Yikes, with the dogs you may want the rack sooner rather than later after all. One of the reasons we got our rack was so that our one dog can come with us on trips. With the cargo area loaded to the max and the kiddos in the back seat, you won't have much room for the dogs.
Good call on the tires/lift. When you start struggling to climb over obstacles, then come back to these.
The rack may be optional depending on what kind / how much gear you carry. I got by for years without a rack, also with a family of 4. You can pack a surprising amount of gear in the back...
Looks like you're building more of a crawler than an overlanding rig. Not necessarily a bad thing, mine is a hybrid crawler/expedition rig as well but just something I noticed.
Watch that front axle with 37s. Even if it's better than the JK families front axles, it's still going to be the...
I do, I opted for the AEV Rack with Side Rails (Around $1300 for both). I didn't like the look of the dom tubing around the sides of my rig.
It mounts to the roll bars still which makes for a very robust rack.
I have not done anything in the Ozarks.
Yep, I agree with @brien on the air compressor.
Before I got my ARB, I used the high output compressor from Harbor Freight (Like $60). Filled up my 35's quickly and lasted a long time.
I wouldn't worry about the lights right now. They should be more than adequate for now.
Depends on how deep your pockets are and what kind of trails you run.
As a fellow JKU owner who has a hybrid crawler/expedition rig, I'd get larger tires and just enough of a lift or budget boost to clear them. Stay as low as possible.
Some recovery gear would be next for me, a winch and...
