    Dometic CFX 40 quick review

An update! So I've had the fridge for about a year. I've camped and day-tripped with it and it's covered many miles with me in 2 countries. And it's now ~ permanently installed in my jeep (which, is still my daily driver), so I've used it both for adventuring and for every day things. I still...

    Old Nipissing Road - Ontario

Thanks! Bring your saw next time -- I needed it twice that day! Perhaps we could plan a trip for the southern part sometime later this year? I'm still building out my camping setup, so not quite ready for true overlanding yet. Cheers! Sent from my Pixel using OB Talk mobile app

    Old Nipissing Road - Ontario

@Ontario Overland: Your post here inspired me to explore this during my vacation at the beginning of the July. We were camped @ Restoule provincial park so we (my dad and I in my Jeep) explored from Commanda to Magnetawan one day. After the fact, I realized I did a terrible job at getting photos...

KW/Guelph/Hamilton/Woodstock and surrounding areas Coffee meet up?

No stress! My Jeep was in the front half -- not with the trailers. I think I saw you drive in -- but I was probably running around (as I am on the club executive, so I had a few things to keep track of). Glad you made it out and hopefully you enjoyed it! Next time, perhaps! (Of course, I should...

@DometicOutdoors Figured that the gear review forum was a better place to post this. See here.

    Dometic CFX 40 quick review

@DometicOutdoors So far I've only used it on a couple small trips. Here's how I had it (temporarily) installed last time I was out: I plan on installing it on the slider at the rear on the interior platform I'm in the middle of designing. I'll be sure to post photos once that's done...

@Kel Schwab : Glad to hear you enjoyed the seminars! It was fun putting them together.

    Batteries

Maybe not relevant anymore: I recently installed the Genesis dual battery kit in my JK with 2 Odyssey PC1500 batteries from 4WP in Burlington. So far it does the job well -- runs my fridge all night without breaking a sweat thus far. Haven't really used them extensively for off-grid camping for...

KW/Guelph/Hamilton/Woodstock and surrounding areas Coffee meet up?

Just joined, so a bit late to the party. Did the meet up happen? If not, should we target a new date? Might I suggest June 16: Come check out the Tri City Jeep Club's Show & Shine @ Wellington Motors, Woodlawn Rd. Guelph 10 AM - 4 PM (the club and event are open to any type of 4WD vehicle, but...

HEYElliott: I'm in Kitchener! (Self introduction post here.) Hey - I recognize this guy! I've recently watched a few of your informative videos on YT - thanks for sharing. I'm the opposite: I'm primarily from Ontario, but originally from Alberta (born there, lived there for < 1 yr). Are you...

Hello from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada -- way down here on page 564 of the new member intro thread... Kinda new to the overlanding part, but fairly familiar with off-roading. Getting set up for some longer trips in the coming year. See profile photo for rig (as of April 2018). It's a 2015 Jeep...
