Fairly new to overlanding. However, I have been road tripping all over the Rockies and Southwestern US for several years, camping in dispersed areas, sleeping in my Yakima roof top tent.
I recently bought a small off road capable camper/toy hauler to haul my dirtbike and mountain bike and so I could camp in the winter and back country ski.
