I am building an M1102 as a expedition rig. It is basically a utility trailer and will be loaded with gear and supplies.
I asked my insurance company if my tow vehicle covered the utility trailer. They say only $500 of liability.
Anyone have any experience on this topic?
Not real heavy (see placard pic). Weighs less without the HMMWV wheels. New wheels match truck.
Entire body is aluminum with pintle/lunette ring hitch.
Pulling with 2016 Silverado 2500 HD 4x4.
This will NOT be rock crawler. More of a highway/rough road expedition rig

To make room for the future fuel basket/carrier, I modified and relocated the stabilizer legs.
It turns out that the stabilizer legs fit/store very conveniently to the rear if you remove the feet and bore new holes for the horizontal position.

One thing that I believe is critical is to carry extra gas and propane. My thoughts for the M102 additions/modifications are the following:
1) Carry gas and propane outside of the trailer (front or back). Front is my preference for weight, balance, and potential rear-end impacts
