    1st, you must pass a test to get your Ham license. Ham is not compatible with CB using your typical UHF/VHF Radio.

    Overland Bound recommends you get your Ham License and use Ham Radio on the trail. Powerful, reliable, loaded with features.

    Big fat No! These are cheap radios re-identified for 3-5 times the cost you. These are Baofeng radios and you are paying 3-5 times more for this brand. Any ham will tell you this is a huge rip off. See below.

    I agree that spot on the front light bar is too low. Put it on the roof. The mounts the other gentleman recommended are excellent . Here is an antenna that should do the job. Before going into the garage Pull it up and lay it over, works great...

    We had this come up in California a couple years ago, the government brainiacs exempted handheld microphones after the Highway Patrol opposed this since it would apply to law enforcement, CHP also felt it was not distracting like a cell phone is. Need to have an advocate fight it.
