    Jackery Power Station question.

My previous comment about the Jackery 500 mainly dealt with the unit not being charged by anything except the Saga 60 solar panels. When the unit got too low, I charged with either my cars 12v lighter, or in some cases, I wired clamps directly to my car battery and into the 8mm charge connector...

    Jackery Power Station question.

I just bought a Jackery 500 to power an ARB 35L fridge. I also bought the Solar Saga 60 watt panels. The Jackery had trouble keeping up with the 50-60 watt demand of the fridge over a 3 day camping trip in mid 70s weather. The solar panels performed well (mid 50 watts) when positioned toward the...

    Subaru Owners Registry

Hey Subi folks. I hope everyone is taking care of themselves and preparing for the next trip...the current times are definitely allowing me to get caught up on a few things and really plan out my next mod and trip. I say plan since most of us including myself need to be real careful with budget...

US Midwest 2” ReadyLift SST lift kit for Subaru Outback

I know this reply is a long time coming, and way after the last post, however I recently went with and installed the ReadyLift part# 69-9315 for my 2014 Crosstrek. Im pretty handy and completed this installation on my own. Although most videos on YouTube and the instructions generally start with...

    Subaru Owners Registry

Sounds like a great option. My experience with my local Firestone is that they don’t wanna touch anything that is not stock. And when I asked them about tires for a subaru their eyes glazed over. I’m pretty sure this is perhaps an issue with the particular franchise that is closest to me so I...

    Subaru alignment

Any recommendation on a subi shop in or near the Los Angeles area that can do a proper alignment after a 1”lift and new tires? I may be interested in the shop installing the lift as well. ‘14 Crosstrek. Thanks in advance.

    Subaru Owners Registry

I’m sure this has come up before but can anyone recommend a shop to do an alignment after a 1” lift and new tires on a ‘14 Crosstrek in or fairly close to the Los Angeles area? May be interested in the shop actually installing the lift as well, even though it seems pretty easy. Thank in advance.

    Subaru Owners Registry

For those Crosstrek owners that may be experiencing poor cvt transmission performance, we just took our '14 Crosstrek Premium in for service to get the transmission looked at. Our problem was described as erratic shifting at low speeds, especially when the AC was on. Basically the transmission...

    Subaru Owners Registry

I have a 2014 Crosstrek currently all stock. I wanted to maximize tire size with the stock 17” rims. A 1.5 to 2” lift is in the near future and I’m ready for new tires but not quite ready for the lift. Does anyone think I could fit 225/65/17’s with the stock set up? If not how tall do you think...

Are you prepared or are you rolling the dice? Be honest.

I know there’s lots of video info out there but I appreciate this one very much. My daughter and friend are taking a camping trip from San Diego Ca to Mather Campground near The Grand Canyon for spring break. Although they both have some outdoors and camping experience this and these types of...

    Im new, where to begin?!

This is the order I’d go with: rig maintenance, basic mods to get you in and out (this would depend on your trail style), food, water and shelter, meaning a decent stove or equivalent, storage to keep your food and utensils safe and organized and a decent ground tent or equivalent. Or maybe a...

US Midwest 2” ReadyLift SST lift kit for Subaru Outback

It does help thank you. I actually called ReadyLift earlier today and they said they should be releasing the older Crosstrek (2014) kits in mid March. So I guess I’ll wait until then.

US Midwest 2” ReadyLift SST lift kit for Subaru Outback

I plan on reusing the same struts and springs for now. so ReadyLift may be ok for me then. I may only go with 225/65/17 tires which is pretty close to stock so I think Ill be safe with 2" up front ant 1.5" in the rear. Any thoughts?

    Outfitting my Subaru crosstrek

I also have a 2014 Crosstrek. Just wondering what brand lift are you going with? Ive considered ReadyLift and LP but not sure why theres such a price difference (LP much more expensive). I wanna install a quality product but I also know that most expensive doesnt necessarily mean best.
