Turns out this was the issue. Thanks for sharing. I've permanently disengaged the wiper.

I'll check that and see. The rear wiper was disengaged and I had to force back, it is not working as well. I tried jostling to see and nothing. Tried different combinations of lights on, lights off, lock up lock down, engine on, off, etc, to see if a cross wiring issue. Mechanic looking at it...

It is only because I can hear it click when activated

On an overlanding trip and my tailgate window is stuck in the down position on my 1993 4runner. Anyone have ability to know the issue and fix? Rain and theft are my biggest challenge now.
