Hey everyone I have decided today that I am going to head to Moab for memorial day weekend. I will be trailering my little Jeep tj over there. My tj is fairly stock. I have a winch mounted to the front. sway bar disconnected a 2inch lift and good 265/75r16 tires. Will have Rock sliders built before I go and lots of chains and straps and tools. I bought it 2 weeks ago so it is relatively untested by me except some desert near twin falls Idaho. This is an open invite to anyone who wants to join in on the fun. This will be my first trip to Moab so Any advise on trails and a decent camp spot and anything else would be much appreciated as well.

I recently put together a list of Moab trails and associated difficulty for an event we hosted. I've personally successfully competed all of the trails in Green, and attempted/failed those in Red. I'm happy to give my thoughts on any of those that you're interested in. Some of my favorites that I'd recommend to get you started are in bold. I'd definitely suggest starting with Fins n Things to get a good intro to driving on slickrock and what Moab has to offer, this will give you a good gauge of the difficulty ratings and whether you want to focus on trails that are higher or lower than a "4". Depending on whether you're after challenging technical trails to test out your Jeep, or more fun/scenic stuff that's easier to do, I can give you some more detailed recommendations. I've heard many people rave about how cool Elephant Hill is, unfortunately I wasn't able to get to it this year because it's within Canyonlands NP backcountry and dogs are not allowed at all.

6 - Poison Spider https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=27 (This is a pretty technical/challenging trail, but a lot of fun. I'd see what you think of Fins before stepping up to a 6, I would not proceed with all of Golden Spike with your Jeep but feel free to research it, I did the whole thing and would not do it again)
6 - Hell's Revenge https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=26 (You're in Moab, hard to skip Hell's, but again, do Fins first to get an idea)
6 - Top of the World https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=129 (Awesome photo op at the end, miserable drive. We did the hard side of the loop, but the easy side was pretty rough too)

3 - Beef Basin https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=293
3 - Gemini Bridges https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=23

2 - Long Canyon https://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=282 (this is a good scenic way to get up to, or down from Deadhorse SP or Island in the Sky/Canyonlands NP, nice to include with Schafer trail)
2 - Spring Canyon Bottom http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=88

For reference, all of these trails were completed in a stock RAM 2500 Power Wagon (Full size with lockers and swaybar disco) on 35s without body damage (except beat up front bumper), I only used the winch on Golden Spike. Let me know if I can help!

Photos from the event, if you're interested (I'm in the charcoal colored truck with the cap):
