@hallry

Getting breakfast in Watsonville at Beach Cafe probably at 8:00 am then headed south. We are planning on stopping at the Safeway in Carmel and picking up food or whatever and hopefully meeting up with @Recon2X

@maktruk will be there Friday night if anyone wants to head up early

@SLO Rob , @pabloquiros , @kkauweloa, @FozRoamer are headed from the south and meeting us at the campsite at some point.

We need some volunteers to bring firewood for a night. CB channel 16 as always..and 146.20 for ham ( is that correct??)

Am I forgetting anyone or thing?

So pumped!!

This was from caltrans today at 730p.

IN THE CENTRAL CALIFORNIA AREA]
IS CLOSED FROM RAGGED POINT (SAN LUIS OBISPO CO) TO 11.3 MI SOUTH OF BIG SUR /AT ANDERSON CANYON/ (MONTEREY COUNTY.

I would assume that they will have it cleared by Friday, if it is typical Highway 1 slide.

If HWY 1 is still closed by next week, I do believe theirs a road we can take from King City to Prewitt Ridge Campsite. I'll have to check the map.

I found plan B just in case HWY 1 is closed next week.
The route is from King City to Prewitt Ridge Campsite. Hopefully they don't close these roads.

I've actually had this happen to me on my last trip to Prewitt. Highway 1 was cleared within hours. I have no doubt it will be cleared. I've always wanted to take the back route from King City. So if we have to I'm down. I'm assuming it going to be pretty muddy. Any good mud/hunting boots you guys recommend?

I just noticed that the route has restricted usage and private roads. I wonder if we can still go this way? There's another route south of King City but its longer.

What's our head count now? Thinking Saturday's feast might have to be done on this guy:

I can throw together some mean carne asada burritos Saturday night for a bunch of people if someone will handle breakfast!

For those of us coming from the south, you guys want to meet up and stage somewhere then head up? even if its a short ride its still fun to convoy :)

@SLO Rob , @kkauweloa, @FozRoamer

I am still a maybe on spending the night, depends what happens at home. I can bring some firewood and whatever other items are needed though.
