Member Introductions *NEW MEMBERS INTRODUCE YOURSELF*

Hi all! Just signed up and went ahead and did the official membership thing too!

I'm Wyatt, I live in Texas and I have a background of tent and trailer camping from growing up near Palo Duro Canyon as a kid, but starting to get back into things with just my wife and I.
Rig: '13 4Runner LE (wife's), 14 Ram 1500 4x4 (mine)
We had a RTT we ran for a few trips on the 4Runner, then I did a custom utility trailer setup for a few trips as well. Just sold the tent/trailer yesterday and bought a new to us 8' popup! Looking to do an axle flip and some bigger tires to keep camp site possibilities open!

IMG_6554.JPG Hey gang! New member from Fort Worth, Tx. After years of tent camping in numbered slots we purchased a Jeep Wrangler to venture off the beaten path. We're just starting learn that there are quite a few people who like to do the same thing! I had no idea but I'm thankful we found this group/community.

Welp.. it goes like this.. when I was a kid, we did tons of back country camping and rambling in the high sierras in my dad's IH Travelall.. Wife and I have camped, mountain biked and back packed together for +35 years. Went with a small camper a decade ago, and could drag it to a lot of cool spots, base camp from there.. Last year we traded up to a much larger rig, as we prepare to retire fully and travel for longer periods. BUT.. literally, within a few months of going big.. we realized we still wanted to do the back country stuff we used to do.. so.. learning about expedition trailers ensued, and that lead us to learn of "overlanding".. So, here we are. Our current rig is having it's capabilities boosted regularly.. But we will probably look for a dedicated, and smaller trail rig in the future.
